Scindia pays tribute to 'immortal' Mahatma Gandhi and his principles
On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia underlined the importance of truth and non-violence

On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birth anniversary, senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia underlined the importance of truth and non-violence. Speaking to media persons at an event, Scindia stated," Mahatma Gandhi was not only Mahatma of the country, but he was Mahatma of the entire world. We all must follow his principles of non-violence, truth, justice, development, progress and upliftment of the poor.”
The former Guna MP added, "he will remain immortal because his principles and values will hold importance for generations to come".

Scindia condemns controversial remark made by Bhargava
Scindia also condemned senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Gopal Bhargava's controversial remarks on the upcoming October 21 by-poll in MP's Jhabua assembly seat where he said that the Congress candidate "represents Pakistan". Scindia responding to the BJP leader’s statement said, "It is important to respect everybody's thoughts and expression. No amount of condemnation will be enough for his statement.”

EC registers FIR against Bhargava
The Election Commission (EC) on Monday, registered an FIR against Bhargava for calling Kanti Lal Bhuria, the Congress candidate for Jhabua bypolls, a 'Pakistani', at an election rally in Madhya Pradesh. BJP's Gopal Bhargava is the leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh. Gopal Bhargava asked people in Jhabua to vote for BJP candidate Bhanu Bhuria saying that he "represents India", adding that the Congress candidate "represents Pakistan". "The Congress candidate represents Pakistan while the BJP candidate represents India, It is a fight between Pakistan and India and Pakistan has to be defeated," Gopal Bhargava said while addressing the election rally.
