West Bengal Goverr Jagdeep Dhankhar on Tuesday wondered wher some sort of censorship was in place in State after district officials refused to meet him citing ongoing ministrative tour of Chief Minister.

Goverr Dhankhar termed refusal of district officials to attend a meeting called by him as "unconstitutional". He h last week expressed his desire to hold meetings with district magistrates, bureaucrats and elected representatives of rth and South 24 Parganas districts, a tour of which he has begun from Tuesday.

However, office of Goverr on October 21 evening received letters from district magistrates of two districts mentioning that officials would t be able to attend his meetings as y will be busy with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's ongoing tour of rth Bengal, Raj Bhavan sources said.

"Is it appropriate that whenever goverr of wants to meet someone re has to be censorship, an approval from state government? I am t subordinate to State government. I find it unconstitutional," Dhankhar said.

"re are some constitutional rms, which every state government has to follow. But from behaviour meted out to Goverr Jagdeep Dhankhar it seems in West Bengal, TMC government has created a new set of rules and does t want to follow Indian Constitution," he said.

TMC leership, however, declined to comment on issue.

Dhankhar has been at loggerhes with state government over several issues -- ranging from his seating position at Durga Puja carnival to comments on his security -- since he rushed to Javpur University on September 19 to 'rescue' Union minister Babul Supriyo who h been gheraoed by a section of its students.
