The Supreme Court, therefore, assembled for the proceedings after a delay of one hour from usual court timings. Gavai of the Supreme Court but also Chief Justice of Jamaica Justice Bryan Sykes and Bhutanese Justice Kuenlay Tshering. CJI Bobde was also congratulated by the members of the Bar for being appointed as the 47th Chief Justice in the presence of his near and dear ones before the bench began hearing cases for the day. “We wish a fruitful and a successful tenure to Chief Justice Bobde,” said Rakesh Khanna, Senior Advocate and President of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
