Shah- Nadda Asks BJP Unit to Identify Like-Minded Parties for Pre-Poll Alliance in Jammu and Kashmir

Shah and Nadda direct BJP's Jammu and Kashmir unit to seek pre-poll alliances and strategize for upcoming Assembly elections.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Chief JP Nda, in a late-night meeting with BJP Jammu and Kashmir Unit, have asked State Unit to identify like-minded parties in Jammu and Kashmir, for pre pre-poll alliance for upcoming Assembly Elections later this year. state unit has also been asked to devise separate strategies for different demographic regions depending upon political equation.

meeting was chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP Chief JP Nda along with BJP National General Secretary (Organization) B L Santosh, Union Minister and Election Incharge for J&K, G Kishan Reddy, National General Secretary Incharge J&K, Tarun Chug and Co-Incharge Ashish Sood. From J&K Unit, State President Ravinder Raina, JK Organisation Secretary Ashok Kaul, Dr. Jitendra Singh (MP Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma (MP Lok Sabha), Sunil Sharma (General Secretary), v. Vibodh Gupta (General Secretary) and Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal (General Secretary) took part in meeting.

Sources have informed Republic that Shah has told J&K leers that Union Ministers will be camping in region for more than two consecutive days to strengn party cre. "Amit Shah emphasized need for J&K unit to develop separate strategies for Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Poonch, and Rajouri. ditionally, a restructuring of party organization in J&K is planned to take place post-Assembly polls," said sources.

meeting by Shah and Nda has also ruled out possible leership change in Jammu and Kashmir Unit which is scheduled to see a new President anytime soon as BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina has completed two tenures and is currently in seventh year of his Presidentship. "Jammu and Kashmir will not have party polls along with Centre as region is going to polls. In rest of country, membership drive will begin around mid-July while for J&K, it will be done post Assembly elections in Union Territory," he ded.

BJP J&K President Ravinder Raina said that JP Nda is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir on July 6 for a meeting. "During this visit, BJP will hold a convention with over 2,000 party functionaries, where Nda will interact with m. BJP is rey for Assembly polls and will fight with same vigor as in Parliamentary elections to ensure victory. All party workers are working tirelessly around clock," he ded.
