Shankaracharyas on Republic TV: First time ever, all Shankaracharyas came on one platform with Republic Media Network's Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami. Jagguru Kanchi Shankaracharya Swamiji; Uttaramnaya Jyotishpeethhishwar Jagguru Shankaracharya Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati; Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Shardapeethheeshwar Jagguru Shankaracharya Shri Vidhushekhar Bharati Mahaswami Ji and Pashchimaanya Dwarka Shardapeethheeshwar Shankaracharya Swami Shri Sanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj opened up on range of issues including situation of Hindus in Banglesh, steps to be taken for welfare of sanatanis and ors.

Jagguru Shankaracharya Swami Sanand Saraswati Ji, he of Dwarka Shara Peeth

  • Just like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Banglesh is also not in a good situation and Indians are aware of this.
  • ill-treatment that was meted out to Hindus in Afghanistan is now taking place in Banglesh.
  • re are differences between people with government but what's fault of Hindus, why are y being targeted?
  • Like in Afghanistan and Iran, now fundamentalists want to do whatever y want in Banglesh. If people re have any dispute with government, n what is fault of Hindus living re? Why are y being killed selectively? Why are ir temples being demolished? We are seeing what is happening to Hindus in Banglesh. It would be good if Government of India and Government of Banglesh sit and talk about this and find a way out.
  • unrest in Banglesh clearly points that re is an attempt to bring Sharia Law in country like Afghanistan-Taliban, Iran.
  • He shared concern of Hindus in politically unstable country saying what's ir mistake, why are y being targeted.
  • India and Banglesh must sit toger and work towards betterment of minorities, especially Hindus.
  • governments must find a solution to end this unrest, if steps are not taken against welfare of Hindus amid Banglesh situation, n it will be become an example for world, and if in future, a similar situation arrises elsewhere, n it will be ignored.
  • re are over 1 crore Hindus in Banglesh, and or minorities, refore, one must acknowledge who is attacking whom.
  • opinion of all four Shankaracharya is same, our principles are same. Everyone is worried about Hindus. This problem should be solved soon.

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand

  • Jyotirmath's Shankaracharya Shri Avimukteswaranand said that India's partition was first example of division on basis of religion where country was divided into two parts due to religious reasons.
  • Even in such a situation, we maintained peace, endured everything and country got divided. re was exchange of people, those who were Hindus were coming back to India and from here Muslims were going to those places, violence was done in between and n Mountbatten got opportunity to say that people of both countries were unable to handle freedom.
  • Our country was divided when some said that y didn't want to live with Hindus.
  • At that time, minorities were ensured of ir security and asked to remain wherever y were but even n y were targeted.
  • Now, in terms of Banglesh, it's a difficult time in regards to what's happening re.
  • In a time of this unrest in Banglesh, Hindus who are coming to India are being stopped at border, but y should be allowed to enter India.
  • We must open our doors for Hindus who are coming from Banglesh, y must be allowed to enter India.
  • We have even requested it to President to convey to Prime Minister that y (community) will take care of food, accommodation, clos for immigrants who chose to come to India from Banglesh, and requested government to just provide land and security to m.
  • Hindus should be ensured that India is ir land, and community people from across world will be welcomed.
  • re are more Bangleshis who live in India and a situation shouldn't arise where y have to leave country.
  • We stand united with Hindus of Banglesh

Vijayendra Saraswati, Shankaracharya, Kanchi Peeth

  • Banglesh was earlier a part of ancient India. I am worried about bloodshed and killings that took place due to partition.
  • Shankaracharya said that India has an old relationship with today's Banglesh. relationship is of Ayurveda, Shaktipeeths.
  • Banglesh is important for us from cultural and religious point of view. For Hindus it is a place of pride, a place of love. That's why we are thinking about people re without any malice. Just like skill development is happening in India today, same can happen re also from India's side. people re can be legally protected. Earlier re were 27 percent Hindus, now re are 9 percent. Work should be done to safeguard ir interest.
  • Minorities must be treated well in Banglesh and peace must establish soon in Banglesh.
  • India should raise voice of minorities in Banglesh.
  • United Nation must also keep a watch on Banglesh situation.
  • government needs to stand firmly with Hindus in Banglesh
  • I wish for welfare of all sanatanis in India and world, y must remain in peace and prosperity.

Vidhushekhar Bharati Mahaswami, Shankaracharya

  • Sanatana Dharma is ‘shrestha dharam’ – one of best – in world.
  • People should rise above self-interest and must remain concerned and happy in welfare of ors.
  • Bharat (India) never attacked any or country, only retaliated in self-protection.
  • All Hindu organisations in India and world must take steps for self-protection and welfare of sanatanis.
  • Government should also remain concerned towards sanatanis during such times.
  • Need of hour is to remain aware and awaken towards protection of Sanatan Dharam.
  • Till time we remain united, nobody can harm us.

All four Shakaracharyas in conversation with Arnab, in one voice, expressed ir concern towards plight of Hindus, or minorities in Banglesh, where y have become target of Islamists as ir houses, businesses, temples are being attacked, amid political unrest which has led to complete collapse of law and order, and current dispensation under new interim chief Muhamm Yunus is unable to handle it.
