'Sharif Baap Hai...':Baba Siddique's Shooter Boasted Gangster Lifestyle On Instagram

New Delhi: Shiv Kumar Gautam, an absconding individual from Uttar Pradesh, has been identified as a member of the trio implicated in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique. In the past few months, Gautam boasted his so-called "gangster" lifestyle across various social media platforms.

On July 8, he shared a post stating, "Sharif baap hai # (expletives) hum nahin" (My father is a law-abiding man, not me), which underscores his reckless demeanour. That was just one of many posts that reflected his intent to portray an image of authority and dominance.

On July 24, he shared another post on Instagram, claiming, "Yaar tera gangster hai jaani" (your friend is a gangster), with an accompanying photo of him on a motorcycle.

Hailing from Gandara village in Bahraich, Gautam does not have a previous criminal record. He had moved to Maharashtra to take a job at a scrap shop in Pune.  

On May 26, he uploaded a brief video featuring a city skyline, set to music from "KGF," a film about a mercenary's life. The caption read, “Powerful people make places powerful.”

Meanwhile, after the murder of Baba Siddique Gautam’s follower count on Instagram has reportedly surged, doubling in number. Siddique, 66, was shot dead outside his office, receiving three gunshot wounds. While Mumbai police have apprehended two suspects linked to the shooting, Gautam remains at large.

Suman, Gautam's father, expressed shock over his son’s alleged involvement in the crime. "I cannot believe that he killed Baba Siddique," Suman told reporters.

He recalled that Gautam visited their home in Gandara during the Holi and left Pune in the first week of April.
