In a new finding, a forensic expert, who had examined the remains of Sheena Bora in 2015, has revealed on Wednesday that the bone samples received from the Mumbai Police contained some animal bones as well as bones of some other deceased person. According to reports, the expert told this to the trial court when he was testifying before the special CBI Judge J C Jagdale on Wednesday. Sheena Bora (24) was allegedly killed in April 2012 by her mother Indrani Mukerjea and others.
The cross-examination
According to reports, after Sheena Bora's body was found in 2012, her bone samples were preserved at the JJ Hospital in Mumbai. When defence lawyer Sudeep Pasbola had questioned the witness if the forensic team had checked the bones preserved in JJ Hospital and the ones that were recovered during an exhumation by the Mumbai Police in 2015 were of the same person, the expert stated that there were duplicate bones in two samples. According to him, the bones that were preserved in 2012, contained several animal parts. Further reports stated that the cross-examination will continue on Thursday. Earlier, the forensic expert had claimed that the bones recovered in 2015 were of a single person, a woman.
