Sheikh Hasina says, 'NRC is not a problem' at event in New Delhi

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said that she does not see the NRC as a problem. She said that she is satisfied with PM Modi's assurance

Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said she does t see NRC as a problem on Thursday, October 3. She was quoted saying she is satisfied with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance that Banglesh should t be worried over NRC being implemented. Reportedly in an interview to local media, Bangleshi PM confirmed that she met her Indian counterpart in New York, where latter h assured her about situation t spiralling into something of concern.

According to a report by Indian Express, Banglesh Prime Minister opined she does t see NRC as a problem 

 “I don’t see any problem. I h a talk with Prime Minister Modi. Everything is OK.”

Banglesh PM set to meet PM Modi

Banglesh Prime Minister is currently in Delhi to attend Indian Ecomic Summit. She is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a bilateral meeting on Saturday, October 5. While attending WEF Summit, Banglesh PM Sheikh Hasina spoke about ecomic opportunities for her country and laid out some facts for same, where she was quoted saying:

“Beyond our own 162 million people, Banglesh can be connecting landmass to a combined market of nearly 3 billion people.”

Banglesh PM Hasina Sheikh inaugurates India-Banglesh Business Forum

Sheikh Hasina inaugurated India-Banglesh Business Forum on Friday and said re is a lot of scope for improving bilateral ties with India.

“Tre and investment between two countries are increasing. volume of bilateral tre has steily grown during past years. But balance of tre is still largely in India’s favour. So re is a lot of scope for deepening our relationship with India in areas of tre and investment,” Banglesh Prime Minister said.

At event, she also recalled India’s contribution to Banglesh in 1971 liberation war. She asserted that Banglesh has offered three special ecomic zones for Indian investors and also invited Indian business leers to invest in Banglesh.

Tripura CM meets Banglesh Prime Minister

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb met with  Banglesh Prime Minister on Thursday, where two leers discussed several topics such as connectivity, including possibility of a direct flight between Agartala and Dhaka. Chief Minister later shared on microblogging site Twitter that  interaction was 'fruitful'.
