"Shocked, outraged and deeply grieved", says UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi condemning Pulwama terror attack
Reacting to the attack, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Thursday expressed shock and outrage against the terrorists who carried on the barbarous attack on the CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir.

The dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district has left the nation devastated after 37 CRPF personnel(as per official reports) were martyred in the attack and several others were reportedly injured. Reacting to the attack. UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Thursday expressed shock and outrage against the terrorists who carried on the barbarous attack on the CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir.
"I am shocked, outraged and deeply grieved by the barbarous attack on the CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir. Our brave CRPF personnel died serving the nation selflessly, at the hands of cowardly terrorists, and their sacrifice will not be forgotten," Gandhi said.

"My heart goes out to the loved ones of each and every victim. I share their grief and pain with all my heart. I sincerely hope that those responsible for this dastardly terror attack will be brought to justice and made to pay for this appalling act, that goes against every tenet of humanity," the former Congress president added.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Srinagar on Friday to review the situation in the site. He has assured that a strong response will be given against the terror attack.

On Thursday afternoon, an IED blast in the Pulwama district along the Jammu-Srinagar highway rocked the 70-vehicle convoy of CRPF jawans which left 37 CRPF jawans were martyred and several others were injured from the terror attack. Terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed the responsibility for the attack. Pakistan backed Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for the biggest terror attack in the last 15 years, in a text message to Kashmiri News Agency GNS.

In multiple tweets, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the sacrifices of the forces will not go in vain.
"The attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama is despicable. I strongly condemn this dastardly attack. The sacrifices of our brave security personnel shall not go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the families of the brave martyrs. May the injured recover quickly," he said.
