A 20-year old BJP worker was found hanging from a tree in West Bengal's Purulia district on Wednesday morning. The deceased boy has been identified as Trilochan Mahato and was found hanging with his trousers still on.

Scribbled on the back and front of his white colour T-Shirt was a shocking message. There was another horrifying note that was found on a piece of paper which was left at his feet dangling just inches from the ground.

Roughly translated the horrific message said,"This is for doing BJP politics from age 18. Been trying to kill you since the vote. Failed. Today your life ends".

As per latest reports, BJP has called for a 12 hours strike to protest against the killing of Trilochan Mahato in Purulia district's Balarampur area. The strike will be held only in Balrampur.

Moments later BJP president Amit Shah alleged that the Trinamool Congress government in West Bengal has "surpassed the violent legacy of the communist rule". He has hit out at the regional party over the suspected killing of a BJP party worker in the States Purulia district.

Taking to Twitter, Shah wrote that the life of the young BJP worker, Trilochan Mahato, was "taken under the state's patronage" because his ideology was different from that of "state-sponsored goons".

"Deeply hurt by the brutal killing of our young karyakarta, Trilochan Mahato, in Balarampur, West Bengal. A young life full of possibilities was brutally taken under state's patronage. He was hanged on a tree just because his ideology differed from that of state sponsored goons," Shah further tweeted.

He said, "The present TMC govt in West Bengal has surpassed the violent legacy of Communist rule. Entire BJP mourns this tragic loss & stands firmly with Trilochan Mahato's family in this hour of grief. His sacrifice for organisation & ideology will not go in vain."

The BJP has demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. In a response to BJP's allegation, a TMC leader said that Trilochan was killed in infighting within the BJP.

The victim's father, in his police complaint that he filed, named six men he alleges had threatened to kill Trilochan.
