Shraddha Walker Murder Case Accused Was on Lawrence Bishnoi Hitlist

New Delhi: Aftab Poonawala, accused in 2022 Shrdha Walkar murder case, was reportedly on target list of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, according to police sources. accused confessed during interrogation in murder case of NCP leer Baba Siddiqui, being investigated by Mumbai Police. 

Accused Confesses Plan to Target Poonawala  

According to police sources, during interrogation, one of accused in Siddiqui’s murder, Shivkumar Gautam alias Shiva, revealed that Bishnoi gang member Shubham Lonkar h discussed plans to attack Poonawala.  “Shiva disclosed that Lonkar and ors h expressed ir intention to target Aftab,” police official said.  

However, gang refrained from carrying out plan due to tight security arrangements around Poonawala, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail No. 4.

Security Heightened at Tihar Jail   

Tihar Jail ministration has taken note of reports regarding this alleged conspiracy and is now on high alert to ensure Poonawala’s safety. While no official communication has been received from Mumbai Police, sources in Tihar Jail confirmed that extra precautions are being taken to prevent any potential attack.  

Shrdha Walker Murder Case

Poonawala is accused of murdering Shrdha Walkar in Delhi’s Chhatarpur area in 2022 and dismembering her body.  

Sources said that shooters linked to Bishnoi gang have been conspiring to eliminate Poonawala. information has been shared with Delhi Police to ensure ditional security arrangements.
