Siddaramaiah says he didn't object to Cong government with JDS
Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday, said that the Congress high command decided to form government in Karnataka with the Janata Dal (Secular) to keep BJP out of power

Senior political leader Siddaramaiah, on Tuesday, said that the Congress high command had decided to form government in Karnataka with the Janata Dal (Secular) in order to keep the Bharatiya Janata Party away from power. He also added that he did not object to it since it as it was the decision of the party high command.
While speaking about his lack of interference in the decision, he said that he wasn't asked for an opinion and therefore, he did not say anything. "(Former prime minister) HD Deve Gowda has said that Siddaramaiah did not agree to make Mallikarjun Kharge Chief Minister which is false and baseless allegation. Nobody asked me for my opinion," Siddaramaiah said.

While recalling the time when the decision was taken, he added, "(Congress) High command decided to form the government in coalition with JDS. Later they asked me, I did not object as it was high command decision. I was not there in the meeting when high command and Deve Gowda decided to form the government together.”

Further talking about the political decision, he said that the decision was taken to keep BJP away from forming the government in the state. Clearing speculations of more information on the subject, he said that it was all he knew and he had no other information about the same.

'Opinions from all senior leaders will be taken'
Talking about the political scenario in the country and the remaining by-elections, Siddaramaiah said that a decision will be taken regarding the distribution of tickets on the remaining seven seats for by-elections only after taking opinions from all senior leaders in the party. While attacking the BJP, Siddaramaiah said, "BJP have money, they can do anything they want." He also went on to say that BJP people are famous for back door and unholy practices in the political world.
