Jammu: BJP leader Kavinder Gupta took a dig at PDP Chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti after she canceled her campaign in solidarity with those killed in Lebanon and Gaza, particularly expressing support for Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israeli airstrike in Beirut, on Saturday.
Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta said, "Why does Mehbooba Mufti feel so much pain for Hassan Nasrallah? When Hindus in Bangladesh are attacked and killed, they remain silent. These are nothing but crocodile tears, and people see through the intent behind this."
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday announced that she won't take part in election campaigning for the third phase of Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls on September 28 to express grief over the death of Hezbollah chief.
In a post on X, Mehbooba Mufti said, “Cancelling my campaign tomorrow in solidarity with the martyrs of Lebanon & Gaza, especially Hassan Nasarullah. We stand with the people of Palestine & Lebanon in this hour of immense grief & exemplary resistance.”
Israel has launched its biggest-ever airstrike on Beirut in almost a year of conflict striking the Hezbollah Headquarters where Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed by the Israeli strikes.
This is a breaking copy, further details are still awaited.
