South superstar Mammootty on Tuesday expressed concerns over recent rape incidents in country, after a veterinary doctor was killed after being gangraped in Hyderabad.

incident has sparked outr with many celebrities from Indian film industry including Salman Khan, Shabana Azmi, Farhan Akhtar calling for stringent punishment against perpetrators.

"Society should be conscious about it. y should ask ir conscience, what and why are we doing this. Everybody is concerned what's happening to us, me too," Mammootty told reporters at trailer launch of his film "Mamangam".
