Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has condemned grene attack at a Sunday market in Srinagar that left 11 people injured, emphasizing need for enhanced security measures to dress rising tide of terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
Among injured were two women, caught in chaos when terrorists hurled a grene toward a CRPF bunker situated near a crowded flea market in city’s center.

In a post on X (formally Twitter), Abdullah expressed his concern, stating, “ last few days have been dominated by helines of attacks and encounters in parts of Valley. Today's news of a grene attack on innocent shoppers at Sunday market in Srinagar is deeply disturbing. re can be no justification for targeting innocent civilians.” He urged security apparatus to act swiftly to curb this wave of violence, allowing people to live without fear.
Tariq Hameed Karra, Congress chief in Jammu and Kashmir, also condemned attack, calling it “deeply disturbing.”

He lamented tragic incident involving shopkeepers and urged Jammu and Kashmir Police to implement effective measures to prevent such brutal attacks, enabling public to move about freely and safely.
Karra concluded with prayers for swift recovery of those injured.
