Stampede Breaks Out During Army Recruitment Drive in Pithoragarh, Video Goes Viral

Dehrun: A chaotic scene unfolded during Territorial Army recruitment drive in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh after a massive crowd of youth went out of control during ongoing process of recruitment.

Thousands of aspirants including many from neighboring states gared at recruitment site leing to a situation of overcrowding and disorder.

Tensions escalated when candidates who were alrey frustrated because of arrangements and difficulties of reaching venue, broke through gate and stormed inside.

situation quickly deteriorated furr prompting police to resort to lathi charges to manage crowd leing to a stampede.

Many aspirants were injured following stampede.
