Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded contribution of Karnataka, Haryana, Mhya Presh, and Kerala in growth trajectory of country as y mark ir respective statehood day on Friday. As Karnataka celebrates its "Rajyotsava", prime minister referred to its"outstanding contribution" towards India's progress. 

" state's natural beauty and people's warm-hearted nature are well kwn. Praying for Karnataka's development in times to come," he tweeted.

Karnataka came into being on this day in 1956. On Haryana's statehood day, Modi referred to it as a land of cour, skill, soldiers, and farmers.

He said Haryana is a mix of ancient culture and new techlogy which is contributing to nation's growth. state was formed in 1966. Wishing people of Mhya Presh on its statehood day, prime minister wished state success.

"On Kerala Piravi day, greetings to my sisters and brors of Kerala. People from this state have me remarkable contributions to nation. May people of state be happy and prosperous," Modi said.

Kerala was formed on this day in 1956.
