Kishtwar: A teacher in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, was suspended following an incident of corporal punishment involving a student. The incident took place in a government school in the Inderwal area, where a student was allegedly beaten by teacher Anayatullah Ahanger, leaving visible injury marks.

Photos of the student surfaced online earlier this afternoon, showing the injuries, which sparked outrage. The authorities have formed a three-member committee to investigate the matter and submit a report for further action.

The Chief Education Officer of Kishtwar has issued a suspension notice for a teacher after photos of an injured student surfaced and went viral on social media. The teacher, identified as Anayatullah Ahanger, is accused of using corporal punishment against a student at a government school in the Inderwal area.

In response to the incident, a three-member committee has been formed to investigate the matter. The committee includes Masood Qazi, Deputy Chief Education Officer of Kishtwar; Vinod Kumar, the school principal; and Jagdish Chauhan, a lecturer.

Ahmedabad School Suspends Staff Following Assault Video

In a similar incident highlighting concerns about corporal punishment, a private school in Ahmedabad has suspended its principal and a teacher after a video emerged showing a teacher assaulting a Class 10 student few days back. The footage, captured by a CCTV camera, depicts the teacher, Abhishek Patel, twisting the student's arm, pulling his hair, slamming him against a wall, and slapping him multiple times.

The district education officer of Ahmedabad issued a notice to Madhav Public School in Vatva in light of the disturbing video, prompting swift action from school authorities.
