Students from Class 1 and 9 in Gujarat to be promoted without examinations

A day after Prime MInister Narendra Modi anunced nationwide lockdown as a preventive measure to tackle rising coronavirus cases, Ashwani Kumar, Secretary of Information and Brocasting Department in Gujarat anunced that all students from class 1 to 9 and 11 to be promoted without examinations.

As of March 25, 536 positive cases have been reported of pandemic Coronavirus (COVID-19) with Maharashtra reporting highest at 106 and ten deaths have been reported. India has suspended all visas and barred travel from Afghanistan, Philippines, EU, UK, China, Malaysia and mandatory 14-day quarantine from several or countries and shut down over 32 states and Union territories.
