BJP MP Dr Subramanian Swamy questioned Islamic nations condemning French President Emmanuel Macron for 'defending French values' in wake of a 'horribly cruel knife attack against incent French n-Muslim citizens'.
Following horrifying stabbing spree in Nice, Macron on Thursday described terror attack as ‘Islamist and terrorist mness’ and said that ‘France is being attacked’. He anunced that in coming days number of soldiers patrolling streets would be more than double and furr expressed his support for Catholic community.

Macron has been subject to outr from Muslim-majority nations such as Turkey and Pakistan, with many calling for boycott of French goods over Macron's statements on religious extremism and 'separatism'.
Taking to Twitter, Dr Swamy opined that while ridiculing of Prophet Mohammed is despicable and should be condemned, retaliation to same in form of a knife attack or beheing was criminal.

France witnesses second ‘terrorist attack’
French media reported that one of three victims who was brutally beheed by attacker h been arrested. Apart from three deceased, several ors have been injured in knife-attack at Nice on Thursday. Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice has come forward to reveal that attacker, shouted "Allahu Akbar" while he was being restrained by French Police. Taking to Twitter, Estrosi termed incident as "a terrorist attack", calling for an end to "fascism" in country.
Thursday’s attack comes during heightened tensions in country over extremism. attack also comes amid rising tensions between France and Islamic countries which began with Macron's statement over recent beheing of a French teacher who was brutally decapitated for showing cartoons of Prophet Muhamm in class that h been published by Charlie Hebdo.

Macron’s controversial statements
France has hardened its stance against rical Islam after killing of a French teacher who showed cartoons of Prophet Muhamm republished in terror-victim satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo in class. Reacting to incident, Macron h said that teacher, Samuel Paty, "was killed because Islamists want our future", but France would "t give up our cartoons".

French President also said that unity and firmness were only answers to this. Earlier this month, Macron me statements regarding faith being in crisis all over world.
His remarks have attracted widespre criticism from Muslim-majority countries around world, while many ors, including India, have backed him against terror.
