Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his sadness over demise of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's demise. She had congratulated Shah on Monday in a tweet for moving statutory proposal on revocation of Article 370 in Rajya Sabha,
In a series of tweets, he spoke of her work as a Union Minister and a party member. He said that Swaraj had left an indelible mark in Indian politics. He also said that her loss was irreparable to BJP.

"I am deeply saddened by sudden demise of former External Affairs Minister and senior BJP leader and Member of Parliamentary Board Mrs. Sushma Swaraj. She has left an indelible mark in Indian politics in various forms such as an excellent speaker, an ideal party worker, popular public representative and a working minister.
"Sushma ji, a seven-time Lok Sabha member and three-time Member of Legislative Assembly, performed various duties in office of Chief Minister of Delhi and Union Cabinet. Sushma Swaraj became voice of BJP as Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha. We had a simple, straightforward leader in Sushma Swaraj.
