Sword fight breaks out in Punjab's Moga, at least nine injured

Tension prevailed in Punjab's Moga when two groups attacked each or with swords and rods in bro daylight in full public view on Sunday. Nine people were injured in incident and have been mitted to a nearby hospital.

clash took place just 100 meters away from a police station for around two hours but no police personnel reached spot. 

conflict was between people of two villages in Moga, officials said. A group of youth from Lande Ke village attacked individuals from Mourh village. police claimed that a PCR van reached spot immediately after incident. 

" police have detained three persons in case and are trying to identify ors. Soon after getting information, police reached spot and probe was initiated. group from Lande Ke village has attacked anor group and 9 injured are under treatment at hospital. I appeal to people not to panic in area as situation remains controlled," SHO City Police Station Daljeet Singh said.
