Tamil Nadu couple now parents to 36 kids after losing their three children to tsunami

According to reports, Karibeeran Parameswaran and his wife P Choodamani lost three children on December 26, 2004, when South India was hit by a Tsunami triggered by a 9.1-magnitude quake
While talking to a local media outlet, couple said that y were contemplating suicide after incident. It was later when y realised that many children were orphaned by Tsunami and decided to opt as many kids as possible and become ir parents.

couple told media outlet that y could see many children standing on ro, without shelter, without parents and that's when Choodamani thought of taking in se children and giving m shelter. couple initially brought four orphans home but soon after y converted ir home into an orphan called Nambikkai, which when translated means 'hope' in Tamil.
number soon expanded to 36 and couple has a newfound purpose. Parameswaran is an executive engineer, and Choodamani, a branch he at a life insurance company. Both of m have taken care of approximately 45 orphans at Nambikkai and reportedly built two buildings out of which one is for girls and one for boys.

'This mission will continue'
According to reports, couple started out using ir own funds but later ir friends also stepped in to help m. couple also has h two more boys of ir own. y told media outlet that older children have moved out while some are still pursuing ir higher education. y furr said that few of ir kids have also joined multinational company.
One of ir opted child, who was orphaned in tsunami, has reportedly also come back to work at centre after getting a diploma in information techlogy. Parameswaran who is w 54 said 'this mission will continue for a lifetime, as long as earth is moving, because we want to hour our own children'.
