TDP MP Galla in custody till Jan 31 for 'Jagan never mentioned 3 capitals in polls' stir
The Police have filed non-bailable cases against TDP MP Jayadev Galla after he was detained on Monday for taking part in a protest against Andhra Pradesh govt.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP Galla Jayadev was on Monday detained by police in Amaravati during a rally by farmers against state government approving setting up of three capitals. Police have filed n-bailable cases against him. Galla was produced before Mangalagiri Magistrate-post midnight and was remanded to custody till January 31.TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has claimed that he was manhandled by police, even as bill enabling three-capital formation was passed by state assembly.
Protestors almost reached AP legislature complex
On Monday, defying prohibitory orders and breaking security cordon by armed personnel and ors, hundreds of farmers and women of Amaravati region almost mand to reach Andhra Pradesh Legislature complex protesting introduction of bills for relocating state capital. police resorted to lathi-charge to quell crowd as key assembly session was underway just a few meters away.

'y kept public in dark'
" government never mentioned about three capital before elections. y kept pubic in dark. y did t mention this in manifesto and y have got mandate from public to change capital or make it into three. y have won election on a false pretext and false claims," MP Jayadev said on Monday. He claimed that government officials have come to speak to farmers who are protesting for 32 days.
"Today is 32nd day of peaceful protests and till w government officials have come to speak to farmers. Chief Minister has t come, t even local MLAs are coming. This is a single party protest even YRSCP leaders have participated in protests. In total 23 people have died in last 32 days. It is shameful that government failed to understand what protest means to people," he added.
Jagan govt approves Andhra's 3 capitals
Even as high drama was witnessed on rear side of complex, Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu led his Telugu Desam Party legislators on a foot march a few meters from main entrance gate into assembly. However, TDP could t organise Assembly siege programme as planned due to deployment of a strong posse of police force.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government introduced AP Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions Bill, 2020 in assembly to give shape to its plan of having three capitals for state, which is being opposed by farmers, who had given ir land for development of Amaravati as capital.
