Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leer AP Jinder Reddy, recently, urged citizens and all NRIs to save Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC) and to support corporation.

commitment of food supplies

Reddy, a former MP, attended an all-party RTC meeting at corporation's union office on Thursday. He supported RTC employees' protest at Mahabubnagar bus stand, re a statement. He personally committed Rs. 1 lakh for food supplies for RTC employees.

"Even Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao first came to Hyderab from Karimnagar on an RTC bus. All his industrialist friends used RTC buses to travel in ir struggling days," Reddy claimed. BJP leer has discussed setting up a 'Save RTC' fund with RTC JAC Conver Ashwathama Reddy.

This encourment comes a day after BJP alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao led TRS is er to privatise Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC).  party h also accused Chief Minister of wanting to privatise company to 'promote his own people'. BJP slammed TRS government and said state government is t paying employees ir salaries.

Earlier on regarding case, Telangana Government expressed its unwillingness to go ahe with high court’s proposal on setting up a high-powered committee to look into issues of TSRTC employees. More than 48,000 employees have been protesting and sitting on an indefinite strike for more than 40 days w. strike demands merger of TSRTC with government transport department and a pay revision among or things.

In response to that, court offered state government to constitute committee with three retired Supreme Court judges to sort out issue of TSRTC workers and asked vocate General BS Pras to respond to suggestion. However, an affidavit on behalf of government was filed expressing its unwillingness over issue.
