Telangana BJP slams KCR & TRS for opposing farm bills; accuses them of being 'anti reform'
Former BJP state president K Laxman on September 21 slammed Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) govt for opposing the 3 farm bills in Parliament.

Former Telangana BJP president K Laxman on September 21 condemned Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government for opposing agricultural reform bills in Parliament. While speaking to ANI, he said, "Telangana BJP welcomes agriculture bills passed in Rajya Sabha. farmers of this country are very happy with this bill. But, I fail to understand why opposition including TRS is opposing bill. Modi government is trying to make agriculture a viable and profitable sector." Taking to Twitter, Laxman wrote (translated by Twitter) that opposition criticisms of agricultural bills bought by central government are meaningless.

Slamming KCR- led government, Laxman alleged that Telangana government does t want transparency and reforms to be me in country. " opposition does t want reforms to be me". y are t accountable and y do t want transparency in country," BJP leer said. He also informed that suicide rate among farmers in India has reached 4,600 within last six years and over 100 farmers have committed suicide in last six months.

"60 percent of India's population is dependent on agriculture. Bills like se will help youth to understand and enter (agriculture) sector. reforms that are being brought will help farmers to sell ir produce at best price across country. Modi government stated that Minimum Support Price (MSP) will be continued along with all market yards but Situation Assessment Survey (SAS) will t be collected from farmers," Laxman ded.

Rajya Sabha witnessed chaotic scenes on September 20, Monday as members from opposition party reached to Deputy Chairman's seat to protest against Farmer's Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm services Bill 2020. Laxman ded that both bills were passed by Lok Sabha through a voice vote.

What are three farm bills?
se three farm bills were introduced by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar to replace three ordinances promulgated on June 5. As per PM Modi government, Essential Commodities Act, 1955 is being amended to ensure that all farmers get right price on many commodities. Items such as food grains, oil, dal, pulses, potato have been removed from purview of this Act. Meanwhile, Farmers' Produce Tre and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 aims at freeing farmers from constraints of state Agriculture Produce Market Committees (APMCs) whereby y would be able to sell ir produce.
