rrn Army commander Lt General Ranbir Singh asserted that terrorists are facing an acute short of arms and hence are attempting to snatch weapons from Police Stations or from Special Police Officers (SPOs). He furr ded that crisis-ridden neighbour is trying 'different means' to smuggle arms in Kashmir valley.
"re is doubt that terrorists are facing a big short of arms and are attempting to snatch it from Police Stations or from Special Police Officers. Pakistan is in crisis and also trying different means to sent arms inside Jammu and Kashmir," said Ranbir Singh said while dressing media persons at an event here on Friday.
He said that Pakistan is trying to disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir. "Terrorist infrastructure is operating in Pakistan, terrorist camps operate from where y try to send infiltrators in Jammu and Kashmir. y give arms and or support," said Singh.

He furr said that about 200-300 terrorists are trying to disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir while approximately 500 of m are being trained at launch-ps across border. "Outer counter-infiltration grid is very strong and we are successfully thwarting any attempt by terrorist to infiltrate," he said.

A spokesman for Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) said that re h been an "important progress" in National Action Plan (NAP) as main leers of proscribed organisation JuD/LeT have been arrested by CTD Punjab in offences of terrorism financing.
