Hilarious! Thief left empty-handed as he passes out after drinking champagne
A police officer told the media that the thief had entered the flat through the balcony and had broken into a steel cupboard to rob the items.

A 19-year-old man reportedly broke into a businessman's apartment in Marine Drive, South Mumbai for robbery but was arrested as he passed out on couch after drinking a bottle of champagne. According to police, a resident of Mumbai Central named Sanjiv Verma broke into posh three floors apartment of a businessman in Girikunj building at Marine Drive on night of February 16.

Police spotted empty bottle of champagne
According to reports, owner, along with or residents from building broke door of flat. To ir shock, y found Verma lying on couch of living room with a knife beside him. y spotted an empty bottle of champagne lying in trash can and found out that one or bottle in refrigerator was half empty.
Saboo immediately informed police about incident. police arrived at flat and woke accused up from his sleep, said reports. A police officer reportedly said that thief h entered flat through balcony and h broken into a steel cupboard to rob items. He n opened refrigerator and found two champagne bottles.

officer furr ded that thief might have planned to chug champagne and flee, he, however, passed out on couch and got caught. owner alleged that he found three shoes missing from house, police, however, denied recovering it on Verma.
Verma has been booked under sections 454 house-trespass, 457 house-breaking at night to commit an offense, 380 ft in a house and 427 mischief causing dam, of Indian Penal Code and was produced in court on February 13, confirmed reports.
