New Delhi: In a recent development, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has integrated its ticketing service with 'One Delhi' mobile application. This facility will help in offering uninterrupted journeys to the commuters in the national capital. The integration will provide commuters ease of planning uninterrupted journeys that combines both Metro and Delhi's city bus services.
The 'One Delhi App' which was till now utilized for generating QR tickets for DTC buses, will now help in streamlining travel arrangements by including QR tickets for Delhi Metro also.
While commenting on the fresh development, DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal, 'This integration has been done in collaboration with the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D), which manages the 'One Delhi' application for the city government.'
He further went on to add that the app launched by the Delhi government offers every details, as well as ticketing options regarding the city's bus services.
Going by the numbers, at present, DMRC is offering sale of digital QR tickets through multiple channels like DMRC Saarthi (Momentum 2.0) app, WhatsApp, Paytm and DMRC Travel app besides PhonePe and Ridlr (For Airport Express Line only) and at least around 1.2 lakh digital QR tickets are sold daily through these channels, stated Anuj Dayal.
As per reports, this integration of issuing tickets through 'One Delhi app' will bring in more platforms for issuing the Delhi Metro tickets. In a big relief for Delhiites, not only this integration will facilitate the travelers to use single app for booking buses and Delhi Metro, but also make travelling more convenient and the passengers will be benefitted from streamlined and user-friendly experience.
