This has driven the netizens to express their emotions on Twitter yet again. The collapse comes after the failure in securing rescue funds and travel bookings for more than 6,00,000 global travelers. The officials have said that delays are inevitable as the process of repatriation is scheduled to begin late on Monday. The Civil Authority has also informed that all the four airlines of Thomas Cook have been grounded and the training process has also ceased. At least 21,00 employees, across 16 countries have lost their jobs and 9,000 of them belong to the United Kingdom. The return of all the people abroad is being termed as the largest deportation in the history of Britain, with up to 1,50,000 individuals coming back to the country. The netizens including the passengers and employees are expressing their varying degrees of mixed emotion after the incident.

The chief executive of Thomas Cook, Peter Fankhauser said that today marks a “deeply sad day” for the company which made one of its kind travel packages for millions in the world. Fankhauser also informed that a deal had been agreed to a great extent but an additional facility that was requested in the last few days introduced an invincible challenge for the company. The chief executive has also made a statement to apologize to the millions of customers and thousands of employees. The Civil Aviation Authority also made a statement saying “some disruption is inevitable” but they will help people reach home.
