New Delhi: Amidst Opposition’s uproar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while replying to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s speech on Tuesday, launched a scathing attack on the Congress saying that those dancing with the Constitution's copy on their heads could not implement it in Jammu and Kashmir. Further, referring to Article 370, PM Modi said under the Article some parts of the Constitution were not applicable in J&K. While hailing his government’s actions and schemes, PM Narendra Modi highlighted that the Opposition couldn’t bring in the Constitution in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that Article 370 had taken away people’s rights.

Addressing the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, the prime minister said, "People who now dance with the Constitution did not dare to apply it there. Security forces were stoned. People said nothing could happen. After abrogation of Article 370, stone pelting is over. People are trusting the Constitution, flag and democracy of India and voting in large numbers."

‘Today Every Citizen Knows, India Can Do Anything For Its Security’: PM Modi

As the PM addressed the parliament, the Opposition trooped into the Well of the House and staged a protest demanding justice for Manipur.

Recounting the time, when scams gripped the then Congress-led UPA government at the Centre, PM Modi asserted, "There was a time when there were scams via phone banking. After 2014, policies changed, the speed of work changed. Today, India’s banks are earning maximum profits. There was a time before 2014 when terrorists could strike at will. Governments did and said nothing. ‘Aaj Hindustan Ghar mein ghus ke maarta hai (Today Hindustan would enter the house and kill)’. It does surgical strikes, air strikes and teaches a lesson to the handlers of terrorists. Today, every citizen knows that India can do anything for its security."

He further said, "The country has blessed us for our zero-tolerance policy towards corruption. Today, India's credibility has increased across the world. The sole aim of our every policy, every decision, every action has been India first."

Talking about India’s image across the world, Prime Minister Modi said India is now respected on the world stage. He said that the government helped the country and its people gain confidence, adding that a developed country means that every citizen has ample opportunities available.
