Three College Students Killed After Ramming Their Car Into Pickup Van In Tamil Nadu's Erode

Three students were killed in a fatal road accident that occurred in Erode district. They were accompanied by four others while returning from Thalavadi.

Erode (Tamil Nadu): Three college students were killed and four others sustained injuries after the car they were travelling in rammed a pickup van in Erode district of Tamil Nadu on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as P Mukil Nivas (22), D Dharmesh (19) and E Rohith (18). All three were hailing from Erode city.

According to the police, the accident happened when these three along with their friends S Sathish Kumar, P Srinivas, and S Aathi were returning to Erode from Thalavadi.

The officials said that When they neared Puduvadavalli on the Sathyamangalam-Mysore National Highway, Mukil Nivas, who was driving the car, attempted to overtake a vehicle and rammed a pickup van coming from the opposite direction.

Along with their friends, the pickup van driver S Sivakumar sustained injuries. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital in Sathyamangalam.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police said.
