PM Modi updates on Covid vaccine: '3 in testing, awaiting nod to produce & distribute'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the nation on the 74th Independence Day said that three vaccines for Coronavirus are in testing stages in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while dressing nation on 74th Independence Day said that three vaccines for Coronavirus are in testing sts in India. He said that scientists in country are working hard to find a cure for virus which has infected nearly 2.5 million people in India.

'Three vaccines are in testing sts'

"Whenever topic of Coronavirus comes up, one thing is natural. People always ask when will vaccine for Coronavirus be rey? I want to tell citizens of country. scientists in our country and ir capabilities are like a 'rishi muni' (s). In ir laboratories, y are working hard and focusing on ir work. In India, t one but three vaccines are in testing sts. As soon as scientists give a green signal, country will begin ir large scale production. And a strategy is also being me on how to distribute vaccine to each and every Indian." PM Modi said.

dressing nation from ramparts of Red Fort, he also paid tributes to all Corona warriors in country. “I bow down to all Corona warriors who are putting up a brave fight in se times of crisis. In se times of COVID, Corona warriors have lived mantra of ‘Seva Parmo Dharma’ and served people of India,” he said.

'India has stepped forward to help'

PM Modi said that India has stepped up to help whole world in se times of Coronavirus pandemic. "A few months back we used to import N-95 masks, PPE kits, and ventilators. Today, India is t only meeting its own requirements but it has also stepped forward to help or countries," he said.

Prime Minister Modi also launched National Digital Health MIssion on 74th Independence Day. Under NDHM, a person will get one health card through which y can check ir health, take a doctor's appointment, and many or things. He also said that this Independence Day was special as in coming year India will enter 75th year of its independence.
