Tiger cub found dead in forest near Bandhavgarh sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh

A one-and-a-half-year-old tiger cub was found dead in a forest near the Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The carcass was spotted the Pahariya village sanctuary in Umaria district.

A one-and-a-half-year-old tiger cub was found de in a forest near  Bandhavgarh National Park in Mhya Presh on Tuesday. death was reportedly caused due to internecine struggle between tigers. carcass has been disposed of after post-mortem.

As per a report on ANI, carcass of cub was spotted in  Pahariya vill near sanctuary in Umaria district.  

AK Joshi, Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF), Shahdol, confirmed news on Wednesday and said, " death was probably due to an internecine struggle among tigers. post-mortem was conducted on Wednesday and carcass was disposed of same day.”

report claimed that this is third tiger cub death to have taken place in area this year.

Previously, on July 28, carcasses of a tigress and her cub were found in Kalwa range of  Bandhavgarh park.

Meanwhile, International Tiger Day was celebrated on July 29. On that occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi h unveiled results of fourth cycle of All India Tiger Estimation Report 2018. He also revealed that India h achieved four years before deline, its target of doubling population of tigers in country.
