'Tirupati Laddu Quality Has Improved': Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu Amid Prasadam Row

Tirupati: Devotees visiting Lord Venkateswara temple on Tirumala hills are complementing that quality of ldu prasam (consecrated sweet) has improved and it should continue that way, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said on Saturday.

Naidu, who held a review meeting with senior officials of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), custodian of Venkateswara Swamy temple, also asked m to make sure only best quality ingredients go into making prasams (sacred offerings ), an official release from temple authorities said.

CM's remarks came amid recent allegations of CM and TTD Executive Officer that ulterated ghee was used in making ldu prasam during previous YSR Congress regime, a charge rubbished by former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He furr said VIP culture should be reduced in Tirumala and re should be hustle and bustle when celebrities visit temple.

CM suggested to Endowments Minister Anam Rannarayana Reddy that t only TTD but all temples should take opinion of devotees in all respects.

Naidu opined that or word should be heard on Tirumala Hills except “ Govinda namam”.

Chief Minister vised officials to increase forest area from 72 to 80 percent in Tirumala.

Later, Chief Minister inaugurated Vakulaamatha centralised kitchen established by TTD on Tirumala hills.

Naidu stayed here on Friday night and offered “Pattu Vastralu” (silk robes) on behalf of state government to Lord Venkateswara on first day of nine-day annual Brahmotsavams.

CM also launched Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams calendar and diary for 2025.
