Tis Hazari case: BPA &TNIPSA stand in solidarity with Delhi Police

Delhi Police protesting Tis Hazari incident have received support from the Bihar Police Association and Tamil Nadu chapter of the IPS Association.

Hundreds of police personnel who have gared outside police headquarters on Tuesday to protest assault on policemen following a clash with lawyers outside Tis Hazari court on vember 2 have received support from Bihar Police Association (BPA). In a press release, association said, “ Association stands in support with each personnel of Delhi Police who was beaten up. We ask for an investigation into incident. Police and lawyers both kw law, and one should have taken law into ir hands.”

TN Chapter of IPS Association condemns incident 

Tamil Nadu chapter of IPS Association too stands in solidarity with police officers who were beaten up in clash with lawyers outside Tis Hazari Court. TN chapter has condemned incident and via a press release has said that "Such incidents show lack of respect for rule of law".  press release furr reads: "TNIPSA stands shoulder to shoulder with men in khaki in Delhi Police".

'Humara CP kaisa ho, Kiran Bedi jaisa ho'

Amid tussle between lawyers and police in Delhi over clashes outside Tis Hazari Court on vember 2, hundreds of police personnel std an unprecedented protest outside police headquarters in Delhi on Tuesday. When Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik appealed to m to maintain peace, he was booed by his own force with "Humara CP (Commissioner of Police) kaisa ho, Kiran Bedi jaisa ho" slogans.

Addressing protesting police personnel, Patnaik said that police are law-keepers and have to make sure that faith reposed on m by government is t broken. Urging protesters to return to ir duties, he said, " last few days have been a turmoil for Delhi Police. We are adept at handling difficult situations. We have handled situation in a good manner up till w. We will handle it in a proper manner. we must keep in mind that we are keepers of law and we should follow it. this is our test. Govt has a lot of expectations from us. We are law keepers. And this is also a moment of wait for us. It's a wait because HC has set up an inquiry commission. We should keep our faith that we will get justice. Whatever incident has happened re will be legal action. And we have fulfilled our duty as per our tradition. I urge you to go back to your duty points. Go back to your duty points and follow discipline."
