Tourists chased by lion at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoo in Karnataka

In Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park, tourists sitting jeep are chased by a fierce lion while on the safari ride. One of the tourists captures the video.

A safari ride turned into a unique experience for the tourists when a lion started chasing their jeep. The incident took place in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park located in Karnataka's Bellary district. The video was shot by one of the tourists and it went viral on social media.

Lion fiercely chases the Jeep

A usual Safari trip would mean sitting in a jeep and riding around the dense forest, most tourists aren't lucky enough to spot wild animals. However, a group of tourists who visited Atal Bihari Vajpayee Zoological Park encountered the adrenaline rush while a lion started chasing their jeep. The entire episode was captured on the camera and soon the video was shared on social media. In the one-minute video clip, one can see the Lion fiercely chasing the safari vehicle in which the tourists were travelling. They speed up their car yet the lion keeps chasing them. As the tourists were protected inside the jeep, they seemed less scared and more amused at the sight of a lion chasing them. After some time, the jeep stops for a while but the lion is seen coming from behind.

The video went viral on social media

The video went viral on the internet shocking the netizens. Many of the netizens freaked out. However, this was indeed a true safari experience for the tourists. According to the media reports the lion attempted to pounce on the jeep. However, the driver used his presence of mind and drove the vehicle at maximum speed. None of the tourists suffered any injuries. The lion seemed angry in the video but there are no reasons ruled out for this absurd behaviour.
