Stage Set for Modi 3.0 Oath-Taking, Traffic Restrictions in Delhi Today | Check Routes to Avoid
The Delhi Police has made elaborate security and traffic arrangements to facilitate the VVIP movement near the venue.

New Delhi: In view of the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi and his cabinet ministers to be held later in the day today, the Delhi Traffic Police has planned traffic restrictions and diversions in parts of the national capital to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic in the vicinity of Rashtrapati Bhawan where the grand event will take place.
The police have made elaborate security and traffic arrangements to facilitate the VVIP movement near the venue. It issued an advisory for commuters advising them to avoid below mentioned roads from 2pm to 11pm on June 6.

“To ensure smooth traffic management in the vicinity of Rashtrapati Bhawan, the following measures will be taken: • The following roads will be closed from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM and only pedestrian movement will be allowed: • Sansad Marg (between Transport Bhawan and T-point Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg) • North Avenue Road • South Avenue Road • Kushak Road о Rajaji Marg • Krishna Menon Marg 。 Talkatora Road • Pt. Pant Marg • No vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Imtiaz Khan Marg, Rakab Ganj Road, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg, Pandit Pant Marg and Talkatora Road,” the advisory read.

As per the advisory, there will also be parking restrictions as no vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Imtiaz Khan Marg, Rakab Ganj Road, Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Marg, Pandit Pant Marg and Talkatora Road.
On arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi, DCP Traffic Prashant Gautam said, "Comprehensive arrangements have been made for the swearing-in ceremony...Almost 1,100 traffic staff have been deployed...The traffic staff is completely briefed...There will be restricted entry and movement in areas around Rashtrapati Bhavan from 2 PM..."

The general entry of the public is also prohibited in the area which will witness VVIP movements in the day. As a part of traffic arrangements, DTC buses will also not be allowed to ply on the surrounding roads of Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi will take oath for a record third term as the PM of India this evening amid the presence of several world leaders, including Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, among others.
