Telangana CM Orders Recruitment of Transgenders as Traffic Volunteers

Hyderab: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed to appoint transgenders as traffic volunteers in Hyderab City.

According to Chief Minister's office, CM Reddy instructed officials to finalize a special dress code and salary for transgenders, similar to that of Home Guards.

recruitment will be carried out on an experimental basis, with transgenders deployed at drunk driving checkpoints and or high-traffic areas to help reduce increasing traffic violations in city.

"Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy ordered officials to focus on appointment of Transgenders as Traffic Volunteers to dress growing traffic problems in Hyderab City," release mentioned.

As decided earlier, Chief Minister asked officials to appoint transgenders as traffic volunteers in high-traffic zones in first phase. On lines of Home Guards, Chief Minister said that services of Transgenders should be utilised at signal-jumping locations and prevent violation of traffic rules.

"Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also suggested officials deploy transgenders at drunk and drive checking points and utilize ir services to reduce increasing cases in city. officials have been asked to finalize a special dress code for transgenders and also a salary similar to Home Guards," release re.

" CM directed officials to implement decision in an experimental manner at earliest," it ded.
