Tripura CM Biplab Kumar sends 400 pineapples to Bangladesh as token of courtesy
Tripura State Government on Friday after receiving the 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes from Bangladesh had said that it would send the state pineapples.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has sent 400 pineapples to Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a return gift. Earlier last week, Banglesh Prime Minister h sent 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes to Tripura CM.

Tripura State Government on Friday after receiving 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes from Banglesh as a goodwill gift h said that it would send state fruit 'Queen pineapple' as a return gift. pineapples are brought from a bordering vill, Ampi in Gomati district in Tripura. Committing to his statement, Tripura Government has gifted around 400 pineapples to Banglesh.

Talking to media, Udot Jha, Second Secretary to Indian High Commission at Chittagong said, " goodwill gesture by Tripura Chief Minister towards Banglesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will furr cement friendship and long-standing ties between two nations."
"I would like to thank Tripura government and Chief Minister for ir goodwill gesture", he ded.

Meanwhile, T K Chakma, Director of Industries and Tourism department of Tripura government expressed that Tripura and Banglesh have a strong relationship and re is a huge scope for enhancement of import-export tre and medical tourism sector.
Gift by Banglesh to India and its neighbouring states
Previously, Banglesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina h gifted Haribhanga mangoes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers of its neighbouring Indian states including Tripura and West Bengal. Tripura CM on receiving mangoes thanked PM Hasina over telephone. It is being said that Banglesh plans to send mangoes to more of its neighbouring states, majorly rth-Eastern states.

Tripura is kwn as a state of pineapples and grows around 2 lakh pineapples every year in different districts of state. pineapple farms are run by government as well as some are privately owned. state cultivates two different s of pineapples - Queen and Kew from May to September.
