Tripura: Six Illegal Bangladeshi Entrants Arrested
Six Bangladeshi citizens including three transgender people, who were planning to go to Mumbai from Tripura, were arrested from a railway station in Tripura.

Agartala: Six Bangleshi citizens including three trans people, who were planning to go to Mumbai from Tripura, were arrested from a railway station in West Tripura district, an official said on Friday.

Following a tip-off about movement of a group of Bangleshis, a joint team of GRP and RPF intensified vigil at Jirania railway station on Thursday, official said.

“Around 4.30 pm, GRP personnel spotted suspicious movement of a group of people at platform. On being asked, y claimed y are Indians and came from Bishalgarh in Tripura’s Sepahijala district. However, following intense interrogation, y confessed y came from Banglesh ," Officer in Charge of Agartala GRP police station, Tapas Das, told reporters.
y were arrested for entering Indian territory without valid papers, he said.

While four of m hailed from Banglesh’s Kishoreganj district, or two are from akhali district of neighbouring country.
“During interrogation, y revealed that y crossed international border on Wednesday night and h plans to go Mumbai by train from Jirania railway station. Out of six, three are trans,” he said.
