Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has decided to go ahe with a statewide bandh on Saturday. All opposition parties, people's organisations, and tre unions have declared support to shutdown call. Telangana employees’ association, teacher unions, and student’s union will also be a part of protest.

High Court directs dialogue
According to President of TSRTC, Ashwathama Reddy, Telangana High Court on October 15 heard both versions of Ro Transport Corporation (RTC) workers, as well as government. Reports state that striking employees have been firm about continuing strike until ir demands are fulfilled. Reddy furr stated that y have refused to hold talks with government, however, court has directed to hold talks and resolve issues.
According to reports, High Court has also ordered striking employees to t let rmal public be affected due to on-going issues. Furr, sources to ncies claimed that State Government will be forming a committee including ministers and officials to hold talks with RTC employees.

Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees started a strike on October 5. TSRTC has more than 50,000 employees which man state-run buses across Telangana. According to reports, ever since beginning of strike, more than 2,000 busses have remained grounded in State. After TSRTC employee, Srinivas Reddy, who died after allegedly immolating himself, protests also broke out in different parts of city and or places, with employees raising slogans and holding State Government responsible for his death. Furr, employees are also blaming government for t taking any action even after two TSRTC employees have died.

Transport Corporation Joint Action Committee has been demanding for merger of Regional Transport Committee with Telangana Government. unions of TSRTC employees led by joint action committee (JAC) have also demanded salary hikes alleging that re has been revision of pay packs since 2017. y are also asking for prohibition of electric buses. In dition, y have asked for long-vacant positions to be filled up to bolster fleet as well as reduction of tax on diesel.
