TSRTC Protests: 15 employees taken into custody by Hyderabad Police
15 TSRTC employees were taken into custody when they were protesting in front of Farooq Nagar bus depot in Telangana as the RTC called for 'Bus roko' protests

Almost 15 TSRTC employees were taken into custody on Saturday when y were protesting in front of Farooq Nagar bus depot in Telangana. RTC joint action committee has called for a 'bus roko' protest in Telangana. Section 144 has also been imposed in State.
Demand for merger temporarily dropped
Meanwhile, protestors have decided to temporarily drop ir main demand for Corporation's merger with government. Joint action committee took step after Government showed signs of reacting to employee's demands after its 41st day of protest. protestors have been demanding several demands including revision of pay and asking for TRSTC to merge with Government.

Section 144 imposed
Earlier while speaking to media, Hyderab Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar said, "Hyderab police have issued prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC, around 500 meters of each of bus depot and at bus Bhawan. garing of more than four people will be permitted at se places. Many business activities and acemic activities will be disturbed if such Bus Roko programmes are allowed. Any person violating this prohibitory order will be arrested."
BJP has also alleged that TRS Government in state plans to privatise TSRTC by declaring it as a loss-making Corporation. y have also alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao wants to 'promote his own people' by privatising company.

More than 20 employee deaths reported
On vember 15, ar RTC employee passed away after suffering a mental shock. According to reports, deceased, identified as P Nshwar, h suffered a mental shock after Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s anuncement to dismiss all striking RTC employees if y did t return to work by vember 5. Following incident, Government anunced ex gratia and a house for family of deceased. According to reports, more than 20 TSRTC employees have lost ir life due to suicide or heart attacks.
More than 48,000 employees of corporation have been on an indefinite strike since October 5, demanding merger of TSRTC with government transport department and pay revision among ors. Meanwhile, State Government has sacked 40,000 employees.
