"TSRTC Strike will definitely continue," says JAC President Reddy

TSRTC's JAC President Ashwathama Reddy on Sunday confirmed that the ongoing strike will continue and that committee will soon approach the Central Government.

Telangana State Ro Transport Corporation (TSRTC) Joint Action Committee (JAC) President Ashwathama Reddy on Sunday confirmed that ongoing strike will continue and that committee will soon approach Central Government. JAC President Reddy stated that y may also seek President's intervention to resolve ir issues. He also accused Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao of threatening employees who are like 'children' for him. This comes after CM Rao h set vember 5 as a deline for protesting TSRTC employees to join back ir duties.

"We might seek President's help," says JAC President

While speaking to news ncy ANI, JAC President Ashwathama Reddy said, " Chief Minister inste of providing confidence is threatening employees. You call us children, is this way you behave with children? strike will definitely continue. We are going seek help of Home Minister Amit Shah in matter and might also seek President's help as well."

' merger of RTC with government'

" state cabinet has decided that re will be merger of RTC with government. state has also granted permission of 5100 buses whereas strike is declared illegal by labour commissioner. If strike is only declared illegal n relation between employees and department does t exist too. This agitation has started especially during students' exams and festive season," Rao said while speaking to media. He furr ded that Central Government has brought Motor Vehicle Act which permits privatisation, it is law of land. That is reason we have taken this decision. CM said that 67 per cent hike was done by state government.

'KCR openly threatened hapless employees'

Telangana unit of BJP h criticised K Chandrashekar Rao-led state government on Saturday over its decisions taken regarding strike of TSRTC employees. BJP has said decisions by KCR government has been done with "highly suspicious" intentions. "BJP feels Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's statements amount to threatening TSRTC employees who are on a legal strike. Bare minimum KCR could have done is to invite union leers for direct talks with him to resolve this month-long stand-off, inste, he openly threatened hapless employees," K Krishna Saagar Rao, chief spokesperson, Telangana BJP said in a statement.
