Hyderab, Dec 27 (PTI) Twelve more Omicron cases have been reported in Telangana, taking total number of cases of new coronavirus variant in state to 55, Health department said on Monday.
Of 12 cases, 10 were passengers who arrived at international airport from countries or than those declared "at risk" by Centre, while two were contacts of patients who tested positive for variant earlier, it said in a bulletin.

According to bulletin, 10 among 55 have recovered from infection.
It said 19 samples are awaited with regard to ir Omicron status.

Meanwhile, Telangana on Monday reported 182 new COVID-19 cases, pushing tally to 6,80,844, while death toll rose to 4,023 with one more fatality.
Greater Hyderab Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for most number of cases with 90, followed by Ranga Reddy (17) district, a state government bulletin said, providing details as of 5.30 PM on Monday.

It said 181 people recovered from infection on Monday. cumulative number of recoveries till date was 6,73,404.

It said 37,839 samples were tested on Monday and total number of samples tested till date was 2,95,54,306.
