Two Coronavirus suspects flee from Quarantine facility in Jammu

Two suspected patients who were quarantined in the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, fled from the hospital last night putting lives at risk

Exposing tall claims of Jammu and Kashmir ministration of setting up facilities to tackle outbreak of Coronavirus in newly formed union territory, two suspected patients who were quarantined in Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, fled from hospital last night putting lives of thousands of ors at risk.

Yesterday authorities h said that two people with a travel history to Italy and South Korea were quarantined after y displayed symptoms of coronavirus. y were quarantined at facility set up at Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.

However, authorities in Government Medical College Hospital w has given a bizarre justification stating that patients returned to ir homes after authorities collected ir blood samples.

“ir blood samples were collected and y were told to stay in isolation ward, but as ir blood report was yet to turn in, y left for ir homes to stay with ir families”, a senior doctor at hospital told Republic World.

Jammu and Kashmir ministration h last night claimed that 2 passengers with travel history to Italy/South Korea identified; symptomatic passenger shifted to GMC Jammu for quarantine & sample testing: asymptomatic passenger instructed for home quarantine as per protocol.

People across Jammu are really concerned about “irresponsible behavior” shown by ministration of hospital in handling case as y say hospital authorities have put at risk lives of residents of entire union territory.

“What if se two suspected patients are actually infected with Coronavirus, imagine how many people y will infect w, y will t only infect ir family members but every single person who will come in ir contact. This would le to a chain that would ultimately end up infecting every single individual in union territory” Sham Lal a local resident said.

Meanwhile to tackle situation divisional commissioner  Jammu Sanjeev Verma has called an emergency meeting today.
