Two Minor Girls Sexually Assualted In Telangana, 5 Arrested

Hyderabad: Five men have been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting two minor girls in Jangaon district of Telangana, police said on Friday.

Last month, several girls escaped from a rehabilitation center in Saidabad, leading the center to file a missing persons report with the local police.

One of the girls was assaulted by a pan shop owner and his friend, who operates a bakery, after they offered her shelter there, according to the police.

Both girls were later located by the police at the Jangaon bus stand, where they were rescued and taken back to the rehabilitation center in Hyderabad.

Following the girls' statements, the police arrested five men, who were charged under relevant sections of the POCSO Act, a police official stated.
