Two Minor Siblings Drown in Pond in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A 13-year-old girl and her younger bror drowned in a pond while bathing in Odisha 's Khurda district on Tuesday morning, police said.

incident occurred this morning when siblings went to pond in Subala vill under Balianta police station on outskirts of Bhubaneswar, a police officer said.

deceased were identified as Subhashree Jena (13) and her bror Bhagirathi Jena (9), he said.

Villrs rushed to ir help and rescued Subhashree. Later, police reached spot and rescued Bhagirathi and took both of m to Capital Hospital, where doctors declared duo dead, officer said.

He said that a case of an unnatural death was registered at Balianta police station and bodies were sent for autopsy.
