Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray formally took charge of his office on Friday afteron. He took charge shortly after 2 pm, entering sixth floor office of CM, outside which a plate bearing name 'Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray' was put up.

Uddhav Thackeray takes charge as Maharashtra CM
When he reached Mantralaya, he paid floral tributes to portrait of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in building. On way to Mantralaya from Thackeray family residence Matoshree in suburban Bandra, he stopped at Hutatma Chowk in south Mumbai and paid tributes to martyrs. Thackeray, who is also Shiv Sena president, was sworn-in as chief minister on Thursday evening and presided over first cabinet meeting on Thursday night.

Thackeray is heading government of a three-party alliance, 'Maha Vikas Aghadi', whose main constituents are Sena, NCP, and Congress. Besides Thackeray, six or ministers - two each from Sena, Congress and NCP - also took oath.
