Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan encouraged OPEC countries to pay attention to changes that COVID-19 has brought in the global oil and gas sector

Union Minister Dharmendra Prhan on Thursday encourd OPEC countries to pay attention to changes that COVID-19 has brought in global oil and gas sector. He urged countries to look over ongoing exchanges so that oil sector and or energy challenges can be jointly dressed. Dharmendra Prhan also invited all OPEC member countries to invest in India so that country can be transformed into a manufacturing hub which will be at heart of global value chain.

Union Minister furr reiterated PM Modi's appeal of t letting a purely ecomic nda define globalization and also said that re is a dire need for a consumption-led oil price affordability, demand recovery for ensuring long-term sustainability of crude oil markets. Prhan on vember 5 co-chaired 4th high-level meeting of India-OPEC Energy Dialogue.

Stating that OPEC has been a 'valuable partner' in India's energy security, Minister highlighted importance of India-OPEC Institutional Dialogue. Prhan said that India offers a partnership that comes with a long-term vant of demand as India's energy market is growing faster than any or energy market. Barkindo during meeting appreciated 'visionary leership' of PM Modi on dressing issues of climate change.

Prhan said, " I urged Barkindo about urgency and need to dress historical aberration in crude oil pricing for Asia by ending Asian Premium recognizing shifting of demand for crude oil to Asia, which is furr accelerated by COVID-19 pandemic."

Union Minister also informed that Barkindo has appreciated resilience of India's gas and oil sector as India's energy nda is driven by 7 key energy drivers that were enunciated by PM Modi during India Energy Forum. Prhan informed that first meeting of this institutional dialogue since onset of Coronavirus. This meet was also joined by CMD and MDs of India's oil and gas industry from both public and private sector.
